Sr data engineer - Rabat

The Senior Data Engineer at AXA Global Business Services Morocco is responsible for designing, developing, and industrializing scalable data pipelines and platforms. He/she ensures the ingestion, transformation, quality, security, and accessibility of data, maintaining high performance and reliability of data processing systems across the organization.

Mission

Architect, develop, and optimize end-to-end data solutions on Azure, including batch and streaming pipelines. Model, organize, and enhance data architectures to support business needs. Ensure data quality, security, and compliance through effective monitoring, documentation, and governance practices. Collaborate with IT teams, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative data solutions. Maintain and improve the performance of data platforms such as Spark, Delta Lake, and Kafka. Manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines within an agile environment.

Technical Environment

Cloud: Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Functions, KeyVault) Big Data Technologies: Spark (expertise), Delta Lake, RDD, Kafka Programming Languages: Python, Shell scripting, Git DevOps & Quality Tools: Azure Pipelines, SonarQube, Checkmarx Data Processing & Streaming: Databricks SQL, workflows, streaming modules Methodologies: Agile, security best practices, eco-design principles
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, with strong Power BI expertise and Azure cloud architecture knowledge. Proven experience with big data technologies and data pipeline development. Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and Shell scripting. Certification in Power BI is a plus. Excellent communication skills in French and English, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. Rigor, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a results-oriented approach. Adaptability to agile working methods and continuous improvement.
