Area of Specialization: Industrial Chemistry / Materials Science / Process Engineering (Technician level)Number of Positions Available: 1Contract: CDDPlace: UM6P MSN Department (Benguerir)We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technician (Bac+3) to support experimental work and pilot operations related to the projects on Transforming Waste into Innovation, focusing on spent catalyst valorization, extraction and purification of vanadium and silicates, and their use in energy storage and phosphoric acid purification.Key Responsibilities· Laboratory Operations & Sample Handling: Receive, classify, store and prepare spent catalyst and other industrial residues; perform leaching experiments; assist in precipitation, filtration, washing, and drying steps.· Routine Analyses & Process Monitoring: Measure pH, conductivity, redox potential; perform basic wet chemistry; prepare samples for advanced characterization; follow SOPs for solution preparation and inventory management.· Pilot-Scale Support: Operate and monitor bench- and pilot-scale reactors (150 L); record and log operating parameters.· Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Apply safety rules for handling chemicals and industrial wastes; assist in waste segregation, labeling and disposal.
Required Qualifications· Bac+3 in Chemistry, Materials Science, Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.· Hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory or pilot unit (academic or industrial).· Familiarity with basic hydrometallurgy / wet chemistry operations (leaching, filtration, precipitation) is desirable.· Ability to maintain accurate lab notebooks, and work in a team-oriented environment.· Good communication skills in French and/or English
