We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join the Global Applications Support Team at Bernstein. This role partners with the Global Equity Research & Sales groups by providing support and training users as well as working with the vendors and in-house development teams who manage our Client Relationship Management (CRM), Distribution (Email, Website, Aggregators) and Research systems. This role works collaboratively with global teams based in US, Europe, and Asia. Our group operates in a fast-paced front-office environment in small teams, covering a wide range of technologies.
- Support daily CRM and Research Authoring activities for Sales & Research users in a busy front office environment.
- Support other applications used in Sales and Research such as Events, Mobile Apps and other technology applications and systems.
- Promote best practices and drive user adoption by engaging and training users; update training materials, help documents and tips-and-tricks communications as needed.
- Collaborate across departments to identify user needs and implement new solutions.
- Implement data quality controls to support reporting and analysis.
- Work with vendors and development teams to facilitate application upgrades, testing, and support of applications used in Sales and Research.
- Conduct detailed diagnosis of operational issues and collaborate with local, external, and global teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Document business processes and procedures.
Technical skills:
· Strong understanding about the Business Lines being supported.
· Salesforce Admin certificate or equivalent experience, preferably a Capital Markets CRM.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel
· Experience with Agile methodology, including the use of JIRA, and maintaining written troubleshooting procedures in a Wiki.
Behavioral competencies:
· Demonstrated track record of providing effective user support.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
· Proven ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
· Demonstrated experience delivering responsive support in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven ability to follow through on tasks and manage small projects effectively.
· Experience in data quality and reporting using best practices and tools.
· Proven experience working collaboratively with global teams.
· Experience with Investment Research Distribution Platforms.
· Knowledge of database principals and basic SQL would be advantageous.
· Scripting skills are useful.
Language requirements if applicable are as defined to support the role purpose and coverage areas. (English is the
business language for SG).
